I Won Sheep(ish) #Yarn from @CathieFilian!

I got this in the mail! :D

Well, it's been a long time coming, but I'm happy to finally blog this post!  Way back in June I entered a contest on Domestic in the City by Cathie Filian to win some of Vickie Howell's Sheep(ish) yarn.

As you can see, I got the yarn and more!  Do you know about Cathie Filian? She's a creative powerhouse and media mogul. She's also the inventor of Hot Glue Gun Helpers, which is a brilliant product produced by Plaid.  Christine on Scraptime did a great review of them, and I've been obsessed ever since.

Cathie was kind enough to not only include the promised yarn, but also a sample from the Hot Glue Gun Helpers and a hot glue gun as well!  How very sweet and generous.

I've been eyeing the Sheep(ish) yarn but it hasn't found a project quite yet.  I'm thinking a child's hat is the way to go. I started a hat, but I frogged (disassembled and recovered the yarn from) it.  I tried combining it with a very lively variegated yarn, but it did NOT work.  I am finding Sheep(ish) to be lovely to work with!

World Card-Making Day Results & Love My Tapes

Here is the result of my World Card-Making Day adventure!

What do you think?

I simply followed Christine's instructions and added a couple of paper flowers with snaps.  I have to say- I love the result!  These cards are just as easy and beautiful as Christine says.  By the way, I used my Westcott Non-Stick Titanium scissors, which I won at CHA Chicago to cut the washi tape.  They're perfect for this project!

I bought the washi tape at CHA Chicago as well, from LoveMyTapes.Com.  I was really happy to see them, because it was one of my goals to find some washi tape while in Chicago.  The guys at the booth couldn't have been nicer.  In addition to washi tape, they sold fabric tape, which Christine from Scraptime also reviewed on her podcast.  You should really check out her review.  It's got some great project ideas!

Here are two project ideas for fabric tape, as displayed at the Love My Tapes booth.

Another interesting product they carried was this Fabric Paper.  This has great die cut machine possibilities!

Cuttlebug Tips

I wanted to do this post for my own info. I just got a cuttlebug machine and I'm excited because I can use it with every different die cut system! :o)

Christine from Scraptime did a few videos about using the cuttlebug, so I decided to repost her recipes here.

So far, I have cuttlebug dies (which rock!), and I just got the scalloped quickcuts. I also have an order of sizzlits coming in. yay!
