Frida Kahlo Museum

Casa Azul (Blue House)
By far, one of the most inspirational places I've ever been is the Casa Azul,
home of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.

Photos were not allowed inside of the museum, but were allowed on the beautiful grounds. I am thinking of producing a video podcast from this gorgeous locale.

The museum was more of a historic museum than an art museum. Inside, we learned that most of Frida's works are in private collections. It was interesting to get a glimpse into some of her artistic process, through sketches, reference books, collections, and drafts of works. The same information was available for Diego Rivera. I am looking forward to another visit. If you're in the city, you should go!
