I Made Candy Bark and You Can, Too (with This Tutorial!)

These are the last moments of 2014!  Time to DO SOMETHING!!

Guess what!  I made candy bark and it was really easy!  Just three ingredients and five minutes of prep time!

Follow along for a step by step tutorial!

Ingredients:  Candy Melts by Wilton.  I used light cocoa and while vanilla.  Almonds.  I used whole, salted almonds.

Materials:  A shallow plastic container or baking sheet, parchment paper, 2 microwave-safe mixing bowls to melt candy, 2 spoons, microwave.

Step One:  Line the shallow plastic container with parchment paper.
Step Two:  Empty the bag of chocolate candy melts into one of the mixing bowls.  Melt candy according to instructions on package.  (It took me approximately 2 1/2 minutes on 50%.)
Step Three:  Mix the whole almonds into the melted chocolate.
Step Four:  Spread the mixture onto the parchment paper.  If you'd like, add whole almonds on top of the mixture as well.
Step Five:  Empty approximately 1/3 of a bag of the vanilla candy into the other mixing bowl.  Melt candy according to instructions on package.  (It took me approx. 1 1/2 minutes on 50%.)
Step Six:  Drizzle the white chocolate over the almond chocolate.
Step Seven:  Cover and chill until hardened.

So quick! So yummy!

Thanks for em"bark"ing on this adventure with me!  Next I'll give you a few ideas for packaging your candy bark! Happy New Year!!
