I was over in the mall checking out cell phone plans and wandered into Anthropologie.
It's not just a store. It's a museum. ;)
This backdrop is made of 70,00 paperclips. The sales associate told me that they contract two artists to do all of the original art displays in the store. I thought this one was pretty innovative. It reminded me of a cascading water wall.

I thought this was also the work of the two artists, but this lamp is actually sold with all of the tassels right on it! I was of course drawn to the thick yarns, but I can't really see this in a home. The scale is pretty large, actually. What about you? Could you see this in a home?

In the boulangerie area, I was taken by these adorable measuring spoons. Am I nuts to think I could wear one around my neck as a funky necklace? Probably. I love the look, though.
Monograms never go out of style, and these cups are only $6.00. Nice gift, right?
This is another cool space divider by the artists. I love the repeated shapes with variation. The purple hues are calming. I find this piece to be very inspirational!
Thank you for looking at my walk through Anthropologie at the Aventura Mall. What do you think of what you saw?

You have an artist's eye..those paper clips forming a curtain are amazing!!! I love the crocheted lace divider too!!!
Anon, thank you for your kind words. I have worked on developing my "artist's eye" since I was a child and my mother taught me to observe creatively. I am very lucky! :)
I do love to walk though this store though I have not in a while. Maybe I will have to see about the local store and its displays for some inspiration.
That is a great idea, Dvora. I think every store is different, so it's a lot of fun to check them out. :)
